We install our helical piers using the Helico installation system, allowing us to precisely drive each pier into the ground to reach suitable load-bearing soil. At Foremost Construction, we choose KDAT (Kiln-Dried After Treatment) lumber because we believe the materials we use should reflect the quality of our workmanship.

Unlike standard pressure-treated lumber, KDAT is kiln-dried after the treatment process. This removes excess moisture from the wood, helping reduce common issues such as shrinking, warping, twisting, and cupping. The result is a more stable, consistent product that provides a cleaner appearance and a better overall finish for your deck.

KDAT lumber also allows for painting or staining sooner after installation, helping you achieve the look you want without the extended waiting period often associated with freshly treated wood.

At Foremost Construction, we use PWT engineered beams on nearly every deck we build because they provide the strength, consistency, and clean appearance we expect from a quality structural system. PWT engineered beams are designed to support greater loads and longer spans, giving us more flexibility when designing and building your deck.

With the proper engineering and design, our PWT beam system has allowed us to span distances of up to 28 feet between support posts. This can create a more open area beneath your deck while reducing the number of support posts needed.

When paired with our helical pier foundation system, PWT engineered beams help create a strong, stable structural system from the ground up. We choose PWT because we want the structure beneath your deck to be just as thoughtfully designed and built as everything you see above it.
